RAD-140 (Testolone) is designed to exhibit high affinity and specificity for androgen receptors (AR). Researchers primarily refer to it as RAD-140 and use it in studies to examine its effects on increasing strength, muscle mass, neuroprotection, and the treatment of osteoporosis.
Studies on rats have shown that RAD-140 demonstrates neuroprotective effects both in rat neuron cultures and in the brains of male rats. In experiments on live animals, male rats whose testes were removed showed that RAD-140 had specific androgenic effects on peripheral tissues, sparing the prostate, while in the brain it activated gene regulation associated with androgens.
If we were to draw a parallel between RAD-140 and a peptide, we could say that IGF-1 LR3 is the most similar in terms of effects—when used for research purposes aimed at increasing muscle mass, endurance, and recovery.
